Dream House Competition – Engel & Völkers South Peninsula
The Dream House Initiative
Engel & Vӧlkers South Peninsula recently started ‘The dream house competition’ in their area. This initiative is aimed at encouraging young children from all walks of life to develop their art skills and imagination.
Engel & Vӧlkers Simon’s Town, Fishhoek and Kalkbay dropped off the “my dream house” material at all the participating schools, together with a marshmallow egg for each child taking part. The children had to draw their dream home on the paper, where after each school selected their 5 best drawings which were then presented to a few local South African artists, who picked the overall top 5 winners.
The prize giving took place on the 21st of April at the NG church hall in Fish Hoek, where the top 5 overall winners, as well as the schools from which they came all received an art hamper as their grand prize.
“We at Engel & Vӧlkers believe in helping our communities, and all initiatives to help or develop the children in our area are of the utmost importance to us. The children are the future and need someone to protect and help them to develop the talents that they have received. Each of us have the capability of helping, all we need to do is to find a cause, and start helping” said Francis Case, License Partner of Engel & Völkers South Peninsula
